Last night we watched The Muppets with the folks. Everyone enjoyed it quite a bit.

That is a good one. Ben Kingsley is great in it.

I just watched a Zombie road movie comedy called Dead Heads. Amusing.

Watched To Kill A Mockingbird today. Obviously not as good as the book (one of my favorites) but still great. Underworld: Awakening the night before last. As great at the others, except the one without Kate Beckinsale. That one was pretty bad.

The big old movie house here in Austin runs a great series every summer. We're taking my folks to this year's kickoff on Thursday, and the feature is To Kill a Mockingbird. I haven't seen it in years and never in a theater, so I'm pretty excited about it.

The Avengers. It was good, but I felt they overdid the silly moments by a lot. They were so obvious, I only laughed at half of them. Otherwise it was fantastic tbh. I really liked to see Cobie Smulders in it, and have a somewhat large role for her character. Well done.

    I watched "Rampage (2009)."

For those unaware, its more or less a movie through the eyes of an active shooter/Mass Shooting. It takes you through the days leading up to and then the event, and has a nice twist at the end. I had to watch it twice. The first time I finished feeling a little strange inside. Obviously it was a good movie, but having attended training to respond to these I had mixed emotions. The second time I was able to enjoy it for what it was, a pretty dang good movie!

We've had Mom and Dad in town, so the selections have been pretty varied. We watched The Big Boss, Bambi, Drive, and Blazing Saddles.

I think Drive may end up being one of my favorite movies. It just oozes cool and it gets better every time I see it.

Dark Shadows. It was ok but didn't like the ending.

Just re-watched Falling Down. I thought Douglas did a good job in it.

The last movie I watched was The Caine Mutiny. It had been ages since I last saw it and it still holds up. Bogie was excellent as always.

The Woman In Black. It wasn't bad but the ending was pretty weak. It leaves you guessing if it was an act of malice or kindness, but still pretty weak. The whole movie was pretty creepy, but they used too much of the "things jumping out at you" gimmick.

Well I got to see the "Avengers" in 2D for $6 at the 11 a.m showing.

Just another Hollywood multi-million dollar "eye-candy" movie.

Some of the actors did their best in giving their characters substance considering they are comic book figures.

However, these comic book movies are just not working for me.

BTW, Stan Lee makes another cameo appearance.

    "The horror, the horror".

Memphis Belle. A great under-the-radar war movie. I don't know whatever happened to Matthew Modine, but he made two great war flicks: Memphis Belle and Full Metal Jacket.

    Double freakture download:
    Hercules and the Masked Rider
Hercules and the Tyrants of Babylon

The only thing left on my puter that I hadn't watched. It took 6 bloody marys to get through those cheesy flicks.
