"Whip It" was an unexpected delight for my wife and me, too. I can not say that I am always a Drew Barrymore fan, but this was excellent directorial work. Should have been a big hit for her.

"Moon" was also just amazing. Excellent, classic science fiction.

August Rush on Bluray. I think it is one of the best movies I have ever seen, certainly one off the most enjoyable.

I saw it in 2d, 3D movies hurt my brain and I don't think I missed much. Some kids in my row where tripping balls, that didn't go to well for one of them, she started freaking out durring the mad tea party and left.

I needed to explain my bad tatoo's to my good freind and her sister, I also plaied them tracks from the band I was in and a few I managed from 1999-2004. My memory lane is a gutter, leather jacket and a 40 of old english. Oi Oi!

The Hurt Locker. I liked it a lot. For some reason I always moan and groan before watching a war movie, but almost always like the movie after watching it.

Has anyone noticed that very few war movies are just downright crap? I mean, we all have our opinions, but I can't think of many war movies that were universally panned. Pearl Harbor was one...

Agree that Hurt Locket was great. I thought it deserved the Oscar.

You may be correct about war movies of the past few decades being pretty good overall. Lots come to mind that were great, including to me Inglorious Basterds this year. I think there have been some other real stinkers in there, too, though. Whatever that one about WWI flying aces was not too long ago was pretty hideous.

Saw "Blind Side" on an airplance flight last week. Am not the world's biggest Sandra Bollock fan, but I would say she delivered in this film as an actress. Not the best directing perhaps or the best screen play. Michael Oehr as something of a "holy man" figure and the unbelieveably "good" shiny white and nice family. Arguably a bit racist. But still excellent, veryu convincing work by Bullock and overall a nice, uplifting movie. Quite the amazing true story and the world is better for it being true.

"The Assassination of Jesse James". Interesting movie, in a dark way.
