Default Anyone play mad doctor with their AS?

I had a bottle of Walgreen's Skin Bracer knockoff (not bad) and some Pinaud Lime Sec (meh). Neither one impressed me as much as I'd hoped. So in a spare container I mixed them about 60/40 with a little witch hazel thrown in.

Gotta tell ya, to my nose the result was a vast improvement over the components alone. You can still smell both distinctly but they really seemed to match each other well. The limey-menthol kick in the face right after a shave is a plus, too, and the Skin Bracer/witch hazel combo seemed to remove much of the alcohol burn of the Pinaud. Which is a good thing.

Anybody else do something like this, just to see what the heck you might end up with?

Mixed Clubman and Witch Hazel at 50/50.

Was great at first but after a few weeks it started to smell like "Skunk in a Bottle".

Clubman will do that on it's own, I have found. Keep it in a glass bottle, and occasionally leave the top off while you are in the shower. I have found this works well to help Clubman keep it's fresh, powdery scent.

Interesting idea. I agree with your statement on Pinaud. My biggest complaint with the Pinaud line of AS is the burn. It is too much, especially considering they do not offer much in the way of moisturizers and lack menthol.
