I have a few of those Boreal #323 brushes (coming to a PIF near you very soon), and I took one for a spin. Very very scrubby, so scrubby the bristles almost don't flex at all. Word on the street says they will start to break in after a week, or two.

As for the very cheap 3 piece razors for sale on this page, the bottom plates on these are made out of super thin metal; they certainly won't take much in the way of abuse.

Also a razor having very iffy plating might have plating issues on the safety bar itself, which will feel very scratchy on your face. OUCH!!

If you are looking for budget minded products, the Lord Tech, Lord Smart, of Feather Portable are far better options.
