Breaking in

Looked about for an existing thread but came up short (if I'm mistaken please point me in the right direction) and I'm curious if there's any accepted method/procedure for breaking in a new badger brush (if the process would be different for a boar brush I'd be curious to hear as well) especially any DO-NOTS. Thanks.

What I do is wet the brush, rub it on a soap for a half a minute, then swirl it around on my face for a few minutes.
I repeat the process every morning.
It seems to work for me.

Really though, every brush I have and use I just used from the get go.

A couple of don'ts are: Don't boil the brush and don't mash and mangle the hair.I break in my brush with 2 soft massaging shampoos and 1 soft massage conditioner. This method gets rid of the new badger scent for me.By the way I'm no brushaholic I'm too cheap to buy a high end one.I only have replacement knots but I would assume you care for them the same whether expensive or cheap.
