This suddenly got a lot better.

For the last month or so, I've been shaving with a Vincent razor. This thing is a piece of junk. So, last week I decide to order something new. My Edwin Jagger DE86 arrived today, along with some new soap and a blade sampler set... Wow, this is great. BBS and significantly more comfortable than the tin piece of crap.

Now I'm really hooked.

First of all, welcome from LMF. Second EJ make some fine products, so I'm not surprised at your response . I'm glad we could hook a new person. Keep it up and it gets even better.

Glad to hear things are getting better. Perfect example of finding the right gear and everything coming together. What kind of blade did you use first with your new razor?

I used an Astra first, it's the same blade I've been using so far.

My first D/E was a PARKER 22R loaded with a 7AM blade. It is easy to see how a newbie could be permanently discouraged by a poorly built razor or blade. Luckily we have sites like this to guide us to shaving Nirvana.
