Smiley blades?

Just a couple of questions about these. Does anyone still make these? Also what are the advantages/disadvantages of a smiley? I assume they are a rarity as I've never seen one for sale online.

TI makes a lot (edit: Ok, they don't make all that much, but it seems like they do as nearly all the TIs that have been sent to me have been smiling. But they do make them still.). PITA to hone....

Advantage: Personal preference. Some people like the curve, I don't. Don't know why. That said, I think about 1/4 of my razors are smiling so...I guess it doesn't really matter.

I like a slight smile and many razors have a very slight curve in the spine which is matched by a smile on the edge. It can be quite delicate on say a Boker King Cutter or really pronounced on many vintage Sheffield wedgy blades. Some of the pipe razors have a great smile.

I think that if the edge is straight, you need to use a slicing stroke but with smiling edge, straight up and down cuts work just as well.
