Default FS: two straight razors for restoration - Wade & Butcher wedge and LeGrelot

    SOLD

Here's are two razors that would shave nicely when fixed. They are way down the line for me, so perhaps somebody else has more time to put in it now.

The first is a small 5/8 wedge by Wade & Butcher with blonde horn scales. The blade is etched 'You Lather Well, I Shave Well', and if you are willing to live with few pits you can save it.

Considering the grind the hone wear is light. The scales have two chips about 2mm wide which are not a functional problem.
$33 includes first class shipping worldwide

The second razor is vintage LeGrelot No 360 and it's branded 'Lotus'. It's 5/8 round point and it had a small frown which I haven't gotten out completely. It has jumps on the bottom of the shank and the top has fancier texture which I forgot to take a photograph of, so it'll be tomorrow.

The spine is designed to be rather heavy and the grind is double concave but fairly stiff as you can see on the photograph. The scales look like the original LeGrelot design, however the birdeye pins seem rather strange. The scales are cracked at the pivot pin anyways.
$27 includes first class shipping worldwide.

Both = $55 shipped first class worldwide.

That LeGrelot is interesting. The French bit under Lotus reads:

    For beards very 'Oures'.

I never saw 'Oures' before and can't seem to find the definition in the French dictionnary... I would think it would be for a dense, heavy, thick beard... The word doesn't exist, it's strange...

    Looking at it, you're right.

    Hard beards!

would make sense... I also thought, at first, that 'Barbes' was '8arbes' because of the way it's written!
