    Default Flashback songs

Anybody rediscover a tune that you haven't heard in ages, that elicits that "Oh, man, THAT song..." response?

I got put on hold at work, and the hold music started out with the Doors, and then this Split Enz tune came on.

Just obscure enough that it rarely hits the compilations or gets any air time, but instantly recognizable as part of my wayward youth.

Anybody else enjoy having a buried earworm come to the surface?

A few months ago I heard The Outlaws on the FM. It was great especially since I can't recall them getting any airtime in a very long time.

Losing My Religion came on in Tijuana Flats tonight... haven't heard REM on the radio (around my parts, at least) in ages.

Having XM radio I am able to have those moments more often because I can simply go to the decade and maybe here that certain song. I love music. :)

Anytime I listen to songs that were on the Headbanger's Ball Vol. 1 CDs I think about those late nights watching Headbanger's Ball on MTV2, the bands I was in, and the local heavy metal shows I went to in High School... If only I had more time and money for those things now that I'm grown up. \mm/

"I'm a Believer", while a great Monkee's tune, really doesn't fit my criteria, as it gets a lot of play.

    Thanks, Shrek.

    Found another I'd forgotten...

Some tunes are better if you've never seen the video.
