Default i seem to be making progress

bought a set of walmart personna blades yesterday. tried them this morning. they felt great. they felt just like the red personna i bought here in a sample. i ordered more red personna and some dorco 301. they shoudl arrive this week. i'll compare all 3 blades to each other as well as price and then see what i end up with. the last 2 blades i tried, astra & gillette thin, tried to kill my face. i had to use mach 3 until i got a new set of blades.

de shaving ain't that bad when the blade is right. i keep wondering if i'll ever come to love it though. i still don't like shaving. but i do like the fact that i get pain free shaves with the right blade.

and i guess i love the overall variety because i went as far as getting a puck of col conk with my blade order. it wasn't that much and didn't add that much to the cost of shipping. i'll see how that compared to vdh. i'm all about price. so if one product is gonna outdo another, the quality has to be really high.

    i'll keep y'all updated.

for those of you who encouraged me to continue after i said my first shave was a disaster, thanks.

Keep at it. Sometimes you really do have to try a variety of blades to find one that works well. It really should feel effortless once you have the right combination with good technique. It took me twelve tries to find the right blades for me.

Glad you stuck with it, when it good it's really good, and when it's great, it's awesome.
