Default Tallow-based cream in a tube?

Does such a thing exist? I've been pouring through the archives here and have yet to see anything that would indicate that it would.

I ask because when I'm traveling I would like to take a tube of tallow-based cream, rather than a whole crock of tallow-based soap. And no, I'm not interested in the glycerin-based tubes, nor in tallow-based sticks. I've already tried Palmolive in the stick form and didn't care for the mess I made with it.

    Any ideas?

Maybe. We have Palmolive cream in a tube here in Australia. I think it may contain tallow but I'm not 100% sure. I'll post the ingriedients when I get home.

Don't forget to add "in a tube smaller than 3.5 oz" to your wishlist in case you are planning to fly in an airplane in the United States. :-)

Nope, tallow is used as part of the soap making process there would be no reason to use it in a cream.

Find a nice container and grate some Palmolive in it.

Check out The Gentlemen's Quarter. Colleen's shaving creams are tallow based and available in a small 1oz tub. I recommend the Highlander, an excellent scent.

My Time Bath and Body also makes tallow based "shaving cream soap." I have no experience with these, but have read good things here.

If you buy a larger one you could fill one of these tubes. Those are the only tallow creams I know.

I stand corrected. Beef fat it is. Seems like it would spoil.

I *knew* I'd seen them somewhere - I just couldn't remember where. I've tried the soaps from TGQ and thought they were pretty high quality - I wonder why she uses tallow in her creams but not her soaps? I'll have to look into both sources.

    Thanks, guys!
