Well i am currious what the size, weight, and blade angle difference between the slim handle and the fatboy are. How do these compare to the merkur HD?

To me the Merkur is just a different animal than the Gillette adjustables. The Merkur feels light, quick and percise. It's more agressive than the Gillettes but you would expect it to. If the Merkur is a sports car then the Gillettes are like old Cadillacs. The Slim has a little more weight on the head, (which I prefer) where the Fat Boy has more heft in the handle. Both are great shavers. The Merkur is fine too. I use it regularly, but it's just different than the Gillette's. Which one I use depends on my mood.

I can't comment on the Merkur HD, as I only have a Merkur Classic LH.
But the handle on the Fatboy is just a touch shorter than the Slim, and of course it is bigger around, and heavier. The head on the Fatboy is "taller", but the blade angles seem similar to me. I use them both on the same settings (3-5), and they seem to shave about the same.
