What's new

Has anyone read this great book?

Haven't heard of that one, but I am curious about TR. There was a Pulitzer-winning biography out in the recent past, but my library doesn't have it. Maybe someone can chime in with a recommendation.

I have "River of Doubt" on my bookshelf, but haven't gotten to it yet. I've read several other biographies of TR as he is one of my favorite historical figures.

Looks great. I just added it to my Amazon wish list. My wife's family has Roosevelt ties. Her great-grandparents worked in his household. Her grandfather ended up building a house on Oyster Bay, about a 1/2 mile (as the crow flies) from Sagamore Hill.

I have not, but it's on my list. I recently read "Canoeing with the Cree," which is about some high school students who decided to canoe from Minnesota to the Hudson Bay in the 1930s. It was a fascinating story, and it has made me want to read more travelogues from that era.
