I just discovered why I really like 1/4 grinds

I have been shaving for a while now and learn something new almost every week. Yesterday I discovered something that I can do with a 1/4 grind that I can not do as well with a full hollow. When I go ATG I can lay the blade down till the blade just behind the edge touches my skin. Incredibly smooth. When I tried it today with one of my full hollows I got a "suction" feeling that made the stroke difficult. I have not heard this mentioned before so I am wondering if others use this technique?

I'm more likely to do that with a wedge, but, yeah, it's been mentioned. I picked it up from reading the forums.
