    Default Greetings & Thanks

Greetings from Pittsburgh. I have been wet shaving for about 2 months now and reading these forms for about 3. First and foremost I must say thank you to all of you out there because without the information you have all provided I probably would have given up on my DE after 2 weeks. Now thanks to you guys I am getting the smoothest and most irritation free shaves I have ever had.

I decided to give DE shaving a try when I found out I could get irritation free shaves for a fraction of the price I was paying for my Mach3's. My wife was skeptic, but humored my interest and got me this http://www.amazon.com/Shaving-Merkur...5748218&sr=8-1 set for my birthday. The first few weeks were rough! In time I did find my groove though and soon after made a believer out of myself and eventually my wife. She now says I have never felt smoother, my shaves last longer now, and I am without any irritation. Now I just need to find a scent she likes.

Anyway, this past weekend my wife and I were in San Francisco and happened to walk past a AOS store. We ended up going in and leaving with the small sized versions of their pre-shave oil, shave cream, and after shave balm in sandalwood, all on her suggestion! We then proceeded to talk about getting a new brush on the way back to the bus. So long story short, my wife and I are both very much appreciative! It has been a fun adventure.

Nice set up there. Glad that things are going well for you.
It's great your SWMBO is tolerant of your enthusiasm! LOL Most guys are not so lucky, so hang on to her.

I used to live just east of you in Johnstown for about 3 years on a long term job there. Beautiful fall colors in the Alleghenies.
