    Default Another Ever-Ready Restore

I restored this one for B&B member Leche. I used a GN Silvertip that I set at 48cm (he mostly uses soaps) Here are the pre and post bloom pics.

Guys, this brush is quite impressive so far. It looks great (that white/red combo has always been a favorite) and the loft is short and dense. The handle is perfect for my hand, it has good heft and is just the right size. It was made to be held by me. As Vita said I pretty much only use soaps and can't wait to hit some Tabac with it in the morning. I'll take pics and report back.

So I got to use this fantastic brush today. I wanted to give it a challenge so I used one of the hardest soaps I own. And a big favorite. Also I didn't put any hot water on the puck.

Let me start out by saying Vita wanted to make me a soap brush and I would call this a purpose built brush. The knot stays dense and never turns floppy. I didn't pick up as much soap as I thought I did so I will try hot water on the puck next time I use a really hard soap.

On the face the brush feels soft yet with backbone. I wouldn't call it scrubby but you can tell it's there and doing it's job. It does a good job whipping up lather and prepping the beard.
After the first pass, face lathering.

I really like this brush. It does very well with soaps and I am excited to keep using it. Thanks Vita!

I will. Looking forward to putting it through its paces. Today was a hard triple milled tallow soap. Friday will be MB Coconut Lemongrass. Saturday will be a softer tallow soap, Arko. Sunday will be another hard milled soap except it will be vegetable based, C&E Sandalwood or Nomad. Not sure yet.

Today was the MB Coconut Lemongrass. Man what a scent. The lather was pretty good, but I'm confident I can get it better. This was the first time ever using a MB soap for me, so far so good. The brush did better with this type of soap. It picked up soap faster than the Tabac and had a good amount in it. I didn't prep the soap with water for this either and never will. I needed a few extra swirls for the third pass and I had good lather throughout. The brush felt a little softer today but still had plenty of backbone.

Didn't get to shave Saturday so I used the Arko Soap today. Probably the best performance for this brush. Easily picked up enough soap and whipped it up into a nice dense creamy lather. I love Arko.
