Default Availability/Money Aside - Best Cologne Ever?

I enjoy reading some of the posts that refer to discontinued and/or expensive colognes that were all time favourites.

Availability and money aside, what is your pick for the (single) best cologne ever?

That's a tough question my friend. It's like asking which kid you love the most. But if you were holding a gun to my head it would have to be TOBS Mr. Taylor.

To date, of all the colognes I have personally owned, I would have to say that Joop Nightflight works best on me. It is relatively inexpensive at anywhere from $40 - $60 per bottle depending on where you get it. But, it really is a great scent.

Since I sprayd a squirt of T&H Spanish Leather on my arm the other day, I must admit it comes in a very close 2nd. The scent is just intriguing.

I have now quite a collection and like them all, but if I had to make the choice - for me it would be my old companion Knize Ten. I use this stuff for some 25+ years....

I couldn't choose. The point of accumulating a wardrobe of scents is that you can change them with your mood.

I hope eventually to select and sort down to 10 or 12 that I will pick from each day, and the "Cologne du jour" will be based on the day's activities, and my mood at the time. I expect each day to pick my favorite for that day's criteria.

That was my aim a few years ago. Now I have about 20 colognes and maybe 50 samples and I'm still not finished...

I think Tam Dao is my favorite to date, but I have sixty or more samples and a whole lot of other choices that would come real close.

It's also fairly linear and if I wore it every day I'd probably grow weary of it.

For me personally it is Polo Sport. Ever since I was a kid and I stole my brothers when i went to school, it just stuck with me. Im never without a bottle.
