Thumbs up Hello and thank you

Hi, I've been lurking this forum for a while but haven't had anything to post untill today.
Having read so much about Mitchells Wool Fat, and it's glowing reviews, my other half agreed to treat me to some.
It came today, so I apprehensively lathered up to shave with it, knowing its reputation for been hard to get right.
I don't know what I was worried about!
It lathered quicker and easier than I have ever found Trumpers Sandlewood soap, Aramis soap, and TOBS Almond cream to.
I was shocked how easy I found it, having only started wet shaving 3 months ago.
I loved the subtle smell of it too.
The shave was amazing too, completely smooth and trouble free, leaving me BBS in 3 passes with touch up, and I got no burn whatsoever.
I finished off with The Gentleman's Refinery aftershave balm, and I'm feeling smoother and softer than I've been using Hydrolast products Method Shaving.
I'd like to thank everyone for their insights into products and methods, and for helping me reach my personal shaving Nirvana,
    Sincerly,
    Sam

    Thanks for the warm welcome.
40_Caliber, I'm definately a convert, I can't see myself wanting to use anything else.
My old soaps will be gifted to a couple of friends to encourage them to try wet shaving.

    Default Nicely done

Now if we could get a vegan MWF we'd all be set. 'Til then the good ole animal byproducts will have to do! Good-on-ya mate for a good shave. Cheers.

Haha, I wish I could afford to aquire more products, but as it stands, I've found something that works great for me, and see no reason to spend money on soaps.
    Brushes on the other hand....
I just have a Vulfic 2233 in super, that works ok, but I'd like some better brushes.
My other half likes the fact I know enjoy shaving now, and is getting me a Kent BK8 for Christmas.

    Default Is there a difference?

I have seen Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap as a Soap and as a Shaving Soap. Is there a difference?

Welcome to B&B and your trip away from the dark side and into the light of real shaving.
When you progress further you'll have to move on to the way of the Tabac

Sorry just had to say that

May the fat be with you..in a good way

I've been shaving shaving with the double edge for 3 months, this is just my first time with the Wool Fat, sorry if the post seemed like it was my first shave.
Or maybe you mean the light side of shaving with tallow?
Having smelt Tabac products, and with the general consensus seems to be that Wool Fat shaves better, I think I'll stay away from the Tabac soap, but thanks anyway.
