Default Superspeed + Astra SP = Super Shave!

Been shaving for about 3wks now.. and I wanted to mirror what a Lot of people have already said, maybe some newer than I can use it.
I was shaving with a gilette Adjustible + Derbys.. and was getting good results, had done 2-3 ATG shaves, and it was going well.

    Then..
This weekened I decided to whip out the Superspeed I won on ebay (By accident, I thought I would not win with a lowball of 6 bux but I won).
I loaded it up with some Astra SP Blades (They seem to be liked aroudn here, and since I dont' have any feathers to try.. I figured the Astra's were going to be my next trial blade after the Derbys.

The Razor Felt great in my hand.. I thought it was a little smaller than the Adjustible and I was going to have a hard time with it.. Nope.. I had good control and was able to shave easily.

Not being use to the new blade, and having a few distractions I did have some burn after, but I didn't prep well and was a little rushed at the end.

1 side of my face I didn't get to do the ATG pass (the little one needed attetion) but I did get WTG, WTG XTG, and was close to BBS
the other side I got BBS everywhere except for the underside ofmy face (Which I am still working out as a noob and take less passes to avoid irritation)

    Figured I'd share the experience

    Interesting post.

It was last week that I loaded a Astra into a "English" Gillette Rocket and got a BBS shave with little effort.

Just my opinion but the combo of a mild razor with a sharp blade seems to work for me.

I really the SS / Astra combo as well. It always yield BBS for me. Last night I tried an Astra w/ my 38C and it was even better the the SS.

Wait till you get to use the SS with feathers! I used my SS this past Saturday *feathers is what I use in all of my razors*, complete blood less shave I did have to add an extra pass but other then that 3.5 passes = BBS, and restored my faith in a my SS!

    Cheers,
    Charlie
