Christmas present

I vaguely remember mentioning to my wife that I wanted to sell off a few of my straight razors and consolidate a bit (I'm up to about a dozen now). I planned on using those funds to buy myself a nice stainless steel razor (I don't have a stainless in my collection, all carbon steel).

Well, being the wonderful wife that she is, she completely surprised me with a mother of pearl stainless 5/8 Dovo for Christmas. I was pretty surprised, I no more expected her to buy it than I expected hairs to suddenly start sprouting out of the top of my bald head.

I'm not sure where she bought it from, but it came nearly shave ready. I touched it up on the diamond paste and shaved with it that night before going to Christmas mass and it was silky smooth.



So, anyone else get any good shaving stuff?

Wow. Would you believe that my wife did the exact same thing? And bought me the exact same model of Dovo SS w/ real Mother of Pearl scales. Small world.
