Merkur HD vs. Muhle R89

Worth spending the money?
I have a HD which has served me well, but the look of the R89 is so impressive.

ANy comments on the shave quality of these razors from anyone who has used them both?

Worth getting the R89 if I already have the HD?

The EJ DE89L is a less expensive version of the Muhle R89. Here is a link to the review for the EJ: http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?ltr=E&t=84778 There is a review for the Muhle R89, but it is for the old version which many have stated was a quite aggressive razor. The new R89 that came out this year has a different head that is the same as the EJ.

Gentlemen,

Muhle 89R and EJ 89L are similar. The Merkur HD is also a fine razor. If given a choice, I would choose the Muhle and the EJ over the Merkur. In addition to the shave — for me — I prefer the workmanship.
