    Default Palmolive Cream Question

I opened a tube of Palmolive Cream red tube today for the first time. I had not used this product before. To my surprise, when I took a whiff of it.. YUCK ! Does it smell this bad normally or did I buy a bad or old tube that may have been expired ? ...if so I will exchange it.

IMO it's a very soapy smell, bordering on lemon or other citrus. Not bad, but definitely not faint.

Then I must have a bad one 'cause I don't detect any lemon or citrus. This one is bordering on nauseating.

Gonzalo, I find the scent of the white and red Palmolive quite pleasant, although the Euro Palmolive in the green tube definitely smells nicer. Both give great lather and shaves.

i'm sure yours is not bad, the ones i have don't smell citrusy or lemony at all, very soapy detergenty. they work great though, so if you can get over the smell then it'll give you great shaves.

the scent reminds me of a very detergent-y soap like you'd find in a hospital or an inexpensive soap you'd find in a men's room. it does take getting used to, but the shave is very good.

(Edit: I'm speaking of the U.S. version)

OK...you've convinced me. I'll try it tomorrow. But I'll be sure to take a long shower afterwards to remove the smell
