saint charles shave makes an outstanding and affordable ASB. if you email sue, she can sell you the unscented version which isn't on the website but which she assures me is available if asked.

it's outstanding and at $10 per bottle, a screamin' deal. i've been using mine every day for more than a year and still have about 20% left

Nivea makes a few different unscented balms, and they are widely available.

Thayer's Witch Hazel or Aftershave (2x alcohol) make great unscented splashes IMO.

C.O. Bigelow's #1200 ASB ... $15/100ml ... often available at B1G1 or B1G50 sales. Not every B&BW carries it, though.

The AOS unscented is real nice, but it's also 38 bucks for 100ml, so there are probably more cost-efficient deals out there. I see the Nivea unscented at just about every store I go to, for around $6-7, but I haven't used it (I'm still using a tiny AOS sample from that beginners kit they were handing out a couple of months ago).

Anyone have thoughts on the Nivea?

The Shave Den makes a nice Unscented Aftershave Milk. Clinique's Post Shave healer doesn't have much of a scent and it is also a very good product. As far as splashes go your best bet's are Witch Hazel or if you don't mind very lightly scented splashes Burt's Bees Rosewater and Glycerin or DR Harris Pink are both excellent.

This soothing, moisturizing winter aftershave balm is created with Sandalwood Hydrosol, which has little or no fragrance, Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera Juice.
There is added Collagen and Glycerin for even more facial toning and moisturizing.

Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm isn't really unscented. There is a fragrance in there but it's not overbearing. It also has a chamomile extract in it, which comes out in the smell. Personally, I think it's one of very best aftershave balms on the market, regardless of price. Read the reviews.

My favorite no-scent aftershave treatment is Thayers After Shave, gives a decent burn with a slight fresh scent that dissipates immediately with pretty good skin care from the witch hazel and aloe.

If you haven't tried one of Sue's aftershaves, you should do it at once. I have tried samples of 5 different kinds, and I asked "Santa" for three more. I'm hoping to narrow it down to maybe two that I will buy in full size; one splash and one balm or milk, but it might be hard to choose, because they're all excellent.

I think most drug store "unscented" balms or lotions are labeled as such because no fragrance has been added--the smells that are there are from the ingredients themselves. I have a feeling this may have to do with FDA regulations and what can be placed on labels (such as natural or artificial flavors).

Nivea Sensitive describes itself as "parfum neutre" (neutral) but this is misleading. I find that it has a fairly strong, unpleasant "cheap perfume" odor. There are much better unscented products out there (although I cannot recomend either AOS or Clinique, for reasons unrelated to smell). I use Olivia's winter formula (even in the summer).

The smell has never bothered me and I find it fades completely on my skin within about two hours. Then again, I've been using this stuff for years, even before wetshaving. Honestly, I think chamomile is pretty predominant in the scent.

One thing I forgot to recommend is Dan Kern/Acne.org moisturizer. It's definitely unscented so all you smell are the ingredients. It's not mean to be used as an aftershave balm, more of a face moisturizer, but I think it works fine as either. Given the price and quantity you get, it's probably the best bang for the buck out there.
