Tabac Man Aftershave Lotion
Dietmar
Here's my new additions to the den this week.
First: Mama Bear's soaps.
Will probably post some reviews in the Soap section.
Interesting, winter / fall scents!
Then, some other Mama Bear goodies:
The Rosemary & Mint is an instant classic in soap, so I had to try the shampoo.
The A/S balm is the Limited Edition Ponderosa Pine Winter Aftershave. Site says 'This soothing, moisturizing winter aftershave balm is created with Ponderosa Pine Hydrosol, Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera Juice. There is added Collagen and Glycerin for even more facial toning and moisturizing and Cypress Essential Oil for a clean fresh scent.'.
And finally, a pic of a new pack of Feathers provided by member dridiot and also in that picture the two knots from the Golden Nib, that will tomorrow be used n the first 'works of aart' brushes (our little home made shaving brush project).

Have a nice day!
has this week's acquisitions thread been stickied? whenever I come here it doesn't show up at the top of the page
Went to Cambridge Chemists and Pasteurs today. Got a John Bull (Mitchell's) ceramic bowl for five bucks from the sale table. Got some Musgo Real Lime Glyce Soap and an Arko stick.
By the way, for anyone interested in dropping 220 dollars on a CH1, Pasteur's has what seems to be a NOS pre-fix Simpson's CH1 in two band super. Just a heads up.
I got a couple goodies today. Kind of excited about them, especially this guy:
A solid stainless Tuckaway style handle, custom made by Ikon. I absolutely love it. It is pictured with a vintage Hoffritz head until the Icon head is ready.
The second one is a TV Rocket. I already had one, but Rhodium is hard to pass on. ;)

Butterscotch Made Rite #750 from the antique shop. Been looking for an old brush to restore, a longer handle and something in butterscotch...this solves all three at once!
Let's see the purchases for the week!
***And remember, Joe Biden says the stimulus is working so we can all get back to buying the good stuff!

Wow! Judging from these scores I'd say Joe Biden is right, The stimulus IS working. Now we can all get back to buying the good stuff!

From an unamed source for a price too good to pass up, a full Tabac soap in its bowl, a wonderfully refreshing after shave milk from D.R. Harris, and a very cool triple-milled soap from Portugal. And a sunny day in Boston to get a clear photo of the haul.
A couple unusual and usable classics. The Gibbs came with a few blades so I can try it out & compare it to the Gillette & Merkur adjustables. The Aristocrat Jr. is only slightly used and this model is one of my favorites so I was glad to be able to upgrade to a slightly improved (cosmetically) version of this great shaver.
I personally use the Aristocrat Jr. more frequently than the Rocket HD (its cousin), and recommend it -- so will be listing the one I had been using in the B/S/T thread for sale soon.
Here's my stuff for the week:
- Y3 SS from the bay (my first 40s style SS)
- E1 Fatboy from Mojo88 (my first Fatboy)
- L3 Lady Gillette for the fiancee from the bay (perfect condition for $10.50)
- E1 Travel Tech (impulse from the bay)
- Gillette New in box from K9DVM
- Made Rite butterscotch brush from the antique store
