    Default Now ready to start slicing.

    Fellas,
    I just scored a Merkur HD for $18 at the Atlanta Barber Supply store! This is my first safety razor and I'm as nervous as I am excited. Also picked up some blades and a few pucks of soap.
    If anyone is in Atlanta I'd recommend checking it out. It's totally old school. They have everything you could think of and run by really nice people. $18 is by far the best price I've seen for the HD.

    Great price on the Merkur. A little tip, for the HD just the pressure of the razor on your face is all you need. You basically just guide it with very little pressure from you. Have fun!

    A good price for any Merkur razor. However, that does not look like an HD in the picture.
