It should hardly be envious, that's for sure. But the mug is damn nice. It shouldn't care who lived there before.

Not sure what my shaving cream, and soaps might be thinking if they knew that their lather bowl formerly housed a nice round of English Stilton. It's a nice sized lidded bowl, black in color, and emblazoned in gold the name of Tuxford and Tebbut U.K. cheesemakers. For some reason, I enjoy the comic element of seeing my former cheese bowl among my shaving items. I must say though, that the color combination does look rather classy...and it ended up a freebie to boot. Minus the original cost of the cheese, and that price was far lower than what I'm seeing for some of the premium English soaps in their custom bowls.

I've had good luck using 3M 7447 abrasive pads and Goo Gone to remove the pesky logos from all my vintage Old Spice glass bottles and mugs.

Probably work just as well with your Tabac bowl.

Its sacrilege to remove the logo! This would be like removing the old spice logo off a shave mug. Unthinkable!!

I'm mostly doing it out of consideration for the other soaps. Tabac has very large shoes to fill, I don't have the heart to put another soap inside a Tabac logo, it's just too much to ask of the new soap.

Default Removing the Tabac's bowl label

Is this possible? I imagine a minute under a blow dryer followed by some scraping and rubbing alcohol would remove it. Has anyone tried this?

If you try to scrape to logo off, it will regenerate itself by morning. It cannot be destroyed. It is invincible!

Dad's Easy Off Spray can be found at Wal-Mart. I've used it to remove paint on a front door and from a 50 year old boat. Cheap and works well. I don't think it will damage the glass.

    Are bees considered fowl?

That Burt's Bees bay rum soap is beyond foul. It's like a puck of scented earwax and old oatmeal. It's like a bad, bad, bad, shaving soap that's been weaponized. It's like they squeezed a flock of starlings that had been living in a Bay tree and called what came out Burt's Bees bay rum shaving soap. Putting some in a Tabac bowl would likely start the Shavepocolypse.

    Of course, YMMV.

I haven't gotten around to buying a second Tabac and bowl to pratice all my new found scraping techniques on. My dream is to one day have Irish Moos to shave into a freshly scraped Tabac bowl. Ahhh if only...

Then you will have to find the best way to dye the lid green.

Just look at Burt's labels. He has a full beard. While I've never used his stuff I would be hesitant to use a shaving product with a full-bearded man on the label. It's along the same line of never eating food made by a skinny chef.
