That's a beauty, but I just can't help imagining what it would be like with a nice badger (or even a boar) knot, instead of that ugly Nylon!

Yeah, I,m sure that would be nice but it's my only synthetic and I really like the way it performs, it surprisingly hold a TON of water (just as much as a badger if not more) and I'm vintage freak so I'm keepin' her stock.

If and when MÜHLE makes their synthetic "Silvertip Fibre" knots available, I'd love to try one in a nice vintage handle. From what I've been reading, they're supposed to perform almost as well as real, dead badger hair!

Not sure what number this is - some photos pre restoration (as you can see the handle was completely black once upon a time)

I have this beautiful 'brand new' shiny red lower and cream top Ever-Ready 150 Brush with natural bristles. Since it was new...there was no need to restore it and I use it 'as-is' in my weekly rotation with no problems.

this is my first everyready brush and it is very special to me.I have seen similar models in the thread but have yet to see this one. This brush was uncovered in a box from the little things that remained from my great grandfather on my mothers side,my mother gave the brush to me and it is what sparked my passion and love for wet shaving, even though the brush was really old it still felt so good using one for the first time, with the williams puck my barber had recently gave me.i then said to myself never again with the canned goo.so that my ever ready story.

    eyesofgrey:
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet brush and simply...very, very impressive first class (A #1) work.

I think I may have to 'keep a handle' on my Ever-Ready Brush disorder (especially the two tone color scheme knockouts), and other AD's; or as Memebr Rm71 [a.k.a. Rocco] would say, "Badgers sure do know how to breed"!!!

I mean they can 'multiply' faster than rabbits (better to get them 'citters' nurtured or spayed ), but at times, in the end..."Resistance is futile".
