    Please read and digest all the information in this post so we don't end up with a ton of posts that have to be re written to include the data you didn't read about in this initial post . Then please start posting like mad with the following:

    -Information about Ever Ready brushes you own/have seen
    -Pictures of said brushes if at all possible
    -Wild speculations about what all of the data being collected means
    -Personal stories about Ever Ready Brushes
    -Shavegeekery

    If you've got a large number of brushes to report, please by all means post pics of them, but rather than just posting the data straight to the forum, PM me with your email address so I can invite you to make changes directly to the Google spreadsheet this is all being stored in.

    Background Information and Wild Speculation:

    All of the Ever Ready brushes I have seen have three digit numbers, and sometimes even a letter following the number. According to Mike (lax1mxr), who has had his hands on enough of these things to make all of us green with envy, he has seen brushes with model numbers as high as 1000, with higher model numbers having finer grades of hair and finer handles. I personally have seen that some Ever Ready brushes include a letter in addition to the 3 or 4 digit number provided.

    I'm working under the assumption that the number on the brush may include all/some of the following information:
    -Model number (both digits and letters) i.e. 1000, 100, or 100B
    -Handle design (note that this may not always mean material, but it does mean quality)
    -Type and grade of hair used
    -Knot size
    -Loft height
    -Handle height
    -Total height (Loft + Handle)
    -Color (especially for those two tone beauties)
    -A link to the post with pictures/information provided about that brush
    -Some other information not yet known at the time of this post

    [B]EDIT: As an update, I'm allowing you guys to edit the sheet. I'm hoping to get swamped here soon and may need the assistance.

    Quite simply very, very impressive first class (A #1) work.

    Although I may not be additted yet, but there's time (I think I'm holding up rather well against this Vintage Ever-Ready Brush disorder [especially the two tone color scheme knockouts],...and other Acquisition Disorders). We all suffer (and are doomed ), to some degree from this shaving complusion, because at times..."Resistance is futile".

    Here is another Every-Ready shaving brush to add. I will try to add it to the spreadsheet.

    Height = 100mm
    Handle Height = 49mm
    Loft = 51mm
    Knot size = 22mm
    Pure Badger
    Model = 1000L

    Ever-Ready 925 brush I just bought for a good ol' full restore job. There is a reference to a "525" brush that looks identical (except for the color) but I believe it is also a 925 like mine.

    I don't know what type of bristle was originally in this brush or the size of the knot.

    Hmmm...I was watching that one. Nice looking brush. I think it would look great with a nice two band finest TGN knot. Congratulations!

    Thanx for your reply, support and for sharing, but I think I'll not re-knot this brush with Badger hair because the boar bristels are to still great condition with no shedding and I really like the exfoliating action of this brush wih the existing Boar bristles.

    Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! None of the "vintage" brushes I've picked up so far were in any condition to come anywhere near my face!

    Glad you got yourself a good one...a well-broken-in boar is a treat!

    I posted this thread last night trying to find out a bit more about a brush I was just given. I didn't even see this thread!

    I'll post the pictures here, too. This is my 250 NCC. I thought it was small enough to be a travel brush and thanks to this thread, I just learned what the CC code is. Now how about that N?

    Also, what's up with the bottom of the brush? Did a cap fall off or something? It still stands on its own just fine.

    Next to an Omega 31020 for size comparison.

    I think the "N" means Nylon (as in Nylon bristles). Not sure what happened to the bottom of that brush...is the exposed material some kind of filler? it almost looks like wood in the photos, so maybe at one point this had a long wooden handle that someone sawed off because they wanted a shorter brush?

    If it was sawed off, someone did it with extreme precision. That's what makes me think an endcap or something has been knocked off.

    OK, got this one at the first of the month from TnutsShave via the B/S/T, and it quickly became my favorite brush. I'm a cream guy, so don't know how it would perform on soap. It has a Whipped Dog silvertip badger knot in it, not sure of the size or loft, but it will flat spit out some lather with a good cream. I'll get some measurements (have to get a cheap caliper first, so it won't be immediately, but I will get to it), and post a better picture.
