Ugh... I've wanted one of the ER green/black handles for a while now. That is beautiful!

    Very nice job.

Although I prefer bulb shaped knots, I must say this 2-band fan is looking really great in that handle

I've craved a green brush for quite some time and was delighted to get this one. It's a joy to use and to look at. Nice weight, perfect size and a great, balanced hourglass shape. Easy to keep a grip when shaking it dry.

That beehive or stepped base really caught my eye. Reminds me of the Bauer beehive kitchen bowls that were popular in the late 40s and into the 50s. After buffing off some yellowing, the green Bakelite is gorgeous. About the color of a lime Popsicle, with a hint of translucence.

The brush showed no sign of use and, sure enough, had new boar funk even after sitting around for 50+ years. I was going to re- knot, but this one is in great shape, and is breaking in nicely...i feel sort of honored to be its first user. It's become my daily favorite.

What would be the best silvertip knot and a boar knot for an ever ready? I've got 3 on the way I was thinking one a silvertip and one a boar and the third sell it partial restored ready for a knot.

I believe this is an Ever Ready #59; the markings on the base are VERY faint. Just got this yesterday from an antique store in Amish country. The bristles appear to be horsehair, and the base is some non-Bakelite plastic. The base plate has come unglued and is currently wedged in place with a very old bit of paper.

I'm pondering buying this brush if I can get it right, but can't seem to make out the last letter/number.

    Default Ever Ready Lucite 150L

Here's one I just restored. It's an Ever Ready Lucite 150L. It was originally maroon in the hole, and I repainted it with Rust-Oleum John Deere Green tractor paint. Also added a 20mm Whipped Dog Silvertip.
