Default Pictures of your soap in a bowl...

If you dont purchase the wooden bowl, can anyone send me a pic of how you store your soap puck and do you lather your soap in the container its stored in?.

    Thanks.

I generally jam the puck into a vintage oldspice mug and lather in that. I find having a handle makes it easier to hold onto than the bowls the soap usually comes in. Cheaper too!

Well I have a large mug because I too find it easier to hold, its just I lather my soap in its wooden bowl then transfer to the bowl to continue lathering.

I keep my soaps in these bowls and face lather.
I got the bowls at a feed store. They're earthenware and were originally meant as a hamster's water dish.

Well, it's not elegant, but I melt my soaps (I've only used glycerine soaps to date), into these bowls. I load my brush in these bowls, then move to my face, or another bowl for building lather. They're nice because they come with lids and theyre pretty cheap (7 for $3.50 at Toys-R-Us).

Thanks for these quick replies, much appreciated.

Thats another thing I read a post on here or over at SMF, that all people face lather whether its straight from loading your brush to face, or soap>bowl>face

    Right???

    Right???
Not really. Face lathering refers to developing lather on the face, instead of in a bowl or on one's hand. It's possible to create lather in a bowl, then transfer it to the face in a painting motion. The lather has been developed in the bowl, then simply transferred to the face.

This is a good thread on soap containers.

The Mama Bears come in their own container obviously.

The soap on the right is Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes, & Peppercorn in a soup mug. The lather is from yesterdays shave.
I prefer to load the brush on the soap and lather on my face/head.

Andrew that picture really makes me wish I'd skipped the soap w/ bowls and just bought the pucks. So much more organized then what I've got going. Nice!

Guys who use the MB containers......where do you get the labels? Do you have a label maker? Do you print them off your computer? If so, how do you get them to stick?

They look like P Touch labels. Awesome labels. Any office supply store should have them.

Yep, that's exactly what I use. Type it, print it, peel it, stick it!
