The very recently introduced Ikon. See http://ikonrazors.com/

Someone started a review in the razors section some time back, and me and couple of other members have chimed in with our opinions.

Gillette NEW long tooth (Made in England) with the BullMastiff handle.

The Hoffritz open comb is equal with the one above...

In the straights... My favorite has to be the Max Raul Solingen '72

I don't think I've found it yet, but of the ones that I own currently, my 1951 Gillette Superspeed. Nothing like shaving with a razor that is nearly 60 years old.

I'm still pretty new to DE shaving, but I've kinda got hooked on a red tip. The SWMBO hid my red tip from me while I was taking a shower yesterday morning and I had to use my reg SS, I had red tip on my mind, and it was a little of a let down not to get to use it right then. Good shave, just not the same as my Ole Red.

    Default Favorite Razor

Mine is the Viscount model Rolls Razor. It gives me a BBS shave everytime, is well made, and the stropping and honing process is quite easy to learn. There's something about using a vintage piece of equipment that no amount of cartridge use can match!!!

I'll second the Rolls as my favorite safety razor. I prefer my Imperials, though. The aluminum operating handles in the Viscounts turn my fingers black when honing and stropping. I've actually used 4 different Rolls this past week and have a fifth in line for tomorrow.

My Hoffritz Slant followed closely by my Merkur Slant.

The lowly, and underappreciated, Ball-end Tech.

Wow, tough one. In terms of beauty, my favorite would have to be my lovely Toggle set. In terms of shaving, it's probably my British Aristocrat #21 (also easy on the eyes) or my HD Rocket.

Then again, I'm starting to get into straights....

    I've got a rare '69 Gillette Blue Boy...... (I kid, I kid!).

I've got a decent little vintage collection, haven't tried enough of them to get a favorite yet. But I'll bet it'll be one of four, the '22 Big Fellow, the 30's or 40's Aristocrat or a '47 Super Speed. Then again, the adjustables are cool, and I've heard great things about the 1912....

My current favorite is a Merkur head (from a 1904) on a Bull Mastiff handle. Closed comb comfort on arguably one of the best handles you can find.
