    Default Were Gillette blades date coded?

    I posted this photo earlier in another forum and noticed the blade I used as a prop had N4 written on it.

    Is that a 1968 blade? I knew they dated the razors, but the blades too?

    IIRC, some of the early(earlier) blades were indeed date coded.

    Yeah, thanks luvmysuper. I've been to his site many times but I guess I just never clicked on the blades. More stuff to look at than I have time! What a wealth of info.
