    Default Thanks to B&B

A little over one year of DE shaving under my belt, and I'm getting consistent good shaves. I could not have done it without this site! I also have to thank my brother for first suggesting a DE, which got me searching the Internet, and eventually how I found this site.

As for the acquisition disorders: With the exception of blades, I think I already have enough supplies for the next 5-10 years!

    It is great, isn't it?
AD's aside, wetshaving is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

You may need more blades than that! You never know, they could stop making them....

Be ADD like me, order 100 blades get to around blade 13 and realize, nah I need something else.

Currently the IP's are holding me over, for now...

Congrats on one year down. I find the longer I shave with a DE the better the shaves get. Even now, I continue to learn little things that make the shave better.

    This.

    Remember the Swedes.
I would rather be with the people of this forum than with the finest people in the world.

Only enough to last 5-10 years? You better increase the limit on your credit card. The shavepocolypse is coming!

Thanks bro! It was a long first few months, even the first 6 were shaky. Now I'm pretty confident, but still improving slightly with every shave, and still fine-tuning the routine. As of now, it's 3 passes (WTG, ATG, XTG), then touch-up around the muzzle. I sometimes try touching up the neck, but this rarely works out well.

Wetshaving is the best hobby ever. I started 3 weeks ago and I'm already getting BBS shaves.

Exactly right Mr. Beaver, there is a lot of knowledge and advice on B&B.

Will you start with the straights in your 2nd year?

Congratulations on keeping at it. At this point, bad shaves should be very rare and almost always pinpointed to taking shortcuts and being in a hurry.
    Relax...Take it easy...Enjoy the lather.

Hmm, that is enticing. I can "feel" the DE blade, so-to-speak, rather than just the safety bar, so I can see the advantage to a straight. Don't think I'm ready quite yet, and I know the wallet isn't ready!
