Shaving Dreams

Last night I dreamed that I was searching for my brother-in-law and when I found him he was just finishing up a shave with an enormous injector razor. The head was about ten inches across and the handle was made of wood and about the size of a Louisville Slugger. His shave appeared BBS. Anyone care to comment and/or share some of your nocturnal shaving visions?

Funny you should post this... it must be a "Rich thing." I had a shave dream last night too. I was discussing T&H Grafton with Prince William (he liked it). Man, I need to spend less time on this board! lol.

Well I'll be darn. This so freaking weird. I had a shaving dream two nights ago, my first one. It was in color, I think I was back home and there some people who were going to attend a wedding. We were on a street, btw I did not know any of the folks in my dream, one guy pulls out a strange looking straight that was made out of rubber and steel. Don't ask I have no clue where this came from. He proceeds to start stropping on a piece of rubber!!!!! looked like a piece of a tire that was cut to the size of the strop. I stopped the guy and asked him what he was doing. Of course he says he is going to shave with the blade. I took the "thing" from him and gave him one of my straights. Don't ask me why I had a straight with me it's a dream ok. He then shaves and thanks me for the best shave he has ever had.

I have to stop snacking before going to bed!!! that was just too weird.

my therapist will get a kick out of this one

Hmmm...street shaving. Maybe it will be an Olympic sport in the future!

wow, i've never had any shaving dreams, but when I was big time into reading chess books and studying games a few years ago I would go to sleep at night and have dreams of going through openings and middlegames as my dreams... none for shaving as of yet.

This thread reminded me of a dream I had just before Christmas:

For some reason I had returned to the town where I went to university. While there I took the opportunity to go hunting DE blades. All I remember was standing in some chemist shop (drug dstore?) and being amazed that I found some Israeli Personnas. I was standing there desperately examining the packet for clues about their point of origin!! The assistant in a white coat didn't have a clue about my ramblings.

I'm in the bathroom, and at the sink, and if I remember correctly, salt and pepper holders where placed in such a way, to block the handle of the hot or cold water, from turning off. so I took them away. tried again. Then I unscrewed the base, thinking that would help,.. Yeah, right. Brownish water came shooting up out of the pipe. The funny thing was, I thought,"Oh good at least the pipes are clean now."

I did get the water to turn off, I just don't remember how.

On the table, my later was made (which by the way, I had no recollection of ever making) with my B&B brush soaking in it for God knows how long. So I added a touch of water...ooops too much. And I used it...

With a "prep" like that, my shave probably would have been a complete, unmitigated and total disaster. As in: "Does anyone remember the number to 911?"

I had a dream that I was lathering in a big square green bowl. i created a ton of rich lather; and I did not know what to do with it all.

Odd, I had one two nights ago, I was trying to shave with a straight with red scales. not good. It was worse when I was studying for my finals, I was dreaming of equations, wavefunctions and the like.

I posted this somewhere else, but I had my first shaving dream a few weeks ago...in the dream I was trying out a straight for the first time...I remember being really nervous, hands shaking...then it actually went very smoothely. In the dream I did one swipe from my cheek, down across my jaw, all the way to the bottom of my neck (I'm sure this is "proper" straight shaving technique

) and I felt like the blade was suctioning itself to my face.

not terribly interesting...but this IS a thread about shaving dreams.

I also had my first shaving dream not long ago.
I had read about these, but to have one was weird.
"Wet (shaving) dreams." Good chuckle. Once played on a Basket Ball team named the WDs in college.

I wasn't going to post it, thinking it was too weird, but the other night I dreamed I was rinsing my brush and all the bristles fell off. But it wasn't like they just fell. They looked like they had been cut off.

Interesting.... Can't say I've dreamed about shaving. As far as I know. I rarely remember dreams though.

Many years ago I had a dream that I was shaving with a safety razor. I cut all the way to the bone on one side of my face, so in the dream I just decided to shave all the flesh off my face (hence, my avatar).

You never know what bizarre places your dreams will take you...

Darling, I am going to be 48 next month. I am single, I have been laughing for most of those 48 years...(when I wasn't single) and you wouldn't believe some of the things I have done...
