Because of the wierd hair pattern on my neck, I have gotten BBS maybe twice.
Some of us just have to live with the fact that a minor bit of invisible stubble isn't worth the risk of extra irritating passes.
The rest of my face? Almost every day, except when I rush it a bit.

True BBS? Never.. I can never get it on my neck. My beard grows in a weird pattern there.

Every day. I've shaving with a straight for almost 30 years.

Q: Have I achieved a true BBS before?
    A: Yes, only once.

Q: Did my face hurt for three days?
    A: Yes

These days I only aim to achieve a DFS every day but without irritation. It seems to work the best for me.

Well sure, but I'm pretty certain I could get BBS with this too, and probably do less damage to my face. I think I just don't have the steady hand required.

Only occasionally. If my beard and skin feel like they can both do well for four passes, I begon to consider it. If my lather is absolutely perfect, I make up my mind to try for a BBS. Today was such a day when beard, skin and lather agreed that a BBS was definitely achievable. You should also remember, as you have no doubt read many times here, that a BBS shave will come when it is ready. You can't force your first because all things involved must work together just right. Above all, a true BBS shave will not hurt a day later. anyone can scrape every trace of hair off of his face. The idea is that this should be achieved with no irritation whatsoever. I can get it like that once in a while, but my neck will aways give me a hard time so I give it enough for a DFS there.
I would rather be with the people of this forum than with the finest people in the world.

Most times, but I am beginning to resent the little red patch on the base of my neck which needs some serious Skin Food to fade. When I shave with the grain: absolutely no irritation, but some parts do have invisible rough patches unless I do a 2nd or even 3rd pass.

Almost never unless date night with spouse. BBS requires j-hooking underneath my jaw line. I almost never take the time to do that in addition to the usual three pass shave in getting ready for work. BBS is very achievable for me though if I want to take the time. I am BBS everywhere else on my face after a three pass shave virtually every day.

Good question. I come close a lot and sometimes get one. With that said I keep raising my bar for what a BBS is. Six months ago I'd say the shaves I get now are BBS. Now I view them as close but not quite.

I don't know if its really BBS, but just about every shave if really smooth. I take my time, do a good prep., and make sure to use NO PRESSURE. Every so often I'll find myself going a bit too fast and applying a bit of pressure. I'll pay for it then. I think the no pressure thing is just about the most important part of a shave.

I get BBS daily especially with my slants! I get bbs when I use my Slim but my SS only gives a DFS!

Im now to the point where I know what works for my face so the experimenting is done. The right blade (FAC-DX with pro blade) and Mitchell's Wool Fat has given me BBS for 3 day straight before it seemed like my hair didnt grow back as fast so I had to skip 2 days. So at this point 4/7 days.

Only once a week do I seem to get sufficient time needed to get my neck BBS. The rest of my face is BBS after every shave.

To answer my own question, the first one was DFS, I don't know if it's possibly to get BBS on the first one. I think I was close, but not quite. So, I'm still trying.

Probably half the time or better.

I'd do better if I weren't changing razors every week.

I'm lucky enough to not be prone to ingrowns, etc. I do two ATG passes on my throat each time.
