Question A new beliver has an emergency...

    Hi alls.

I'm a real "newbie" to this website and to the DE safety razor world. I have wet shaved for all my “stubble life” but with bads tools. Three reasons made me take the decision to try a DE razor shave: A) cartidge blade vs. DE blades prices. B) I don’t want to shave my face with a 3 ó 5 blades (by the moment) reaper; these marketing strategies make me fell like a Ginea pig. C) The quality of the shave. For the time being I have one Wilko Classic for exactly seven shaves and will never go back!

I have to tell you a lot of sensations but now I have an emergency: I’ve find an offer with 8 olds safety razors for ±70$ (50 €) and I need help to recognize the diferents models offered and your opinions about the quality of the razors, the models and their conditions and posibilities. Ok? Lets go:

I think that the razor number 1 is a Gillette Slim Adjustable, the number 2 maybe is a Gillette Tech Ball End Handle (made in England?); the number 3 is a Gillette Black Super Slim Adjustable, and the number 4 I don’t have any idea (in the picture you can guess the label Gillette in the head). What do you think about?.

    Numbers 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 (it’s a very strange object) are a mistery for me. Could you help me?

Thanks for your help and for the web's contents too.

#4 looks like a Tech with a weird handle.

#9 looks like the handle for a Tech but without the razor head.

    What I think:

    1-Looks like a Slim
    2-Tech
    3-Superadjustable long handle
4-looks like a tech without a guard or safety bar?
    5-Mustache razor
6-Open comb but unsure of the model
7-Travel razor but seems to be missing the guard or safety bar also
    8-Old type
    9-Ball end handle
    10-No idea

If you could post a few more pictures with the razors dissassembled and/or from a different angle, that would help.

    Default More pictures

    Hi again.

Thanks all of you for the help. I'm traing to get more pictures from the vendor but I don't know if it will be possible; you have to think that in my country we don't have the same classic shaving tradition like in USA or UK, then the vendors don't presents these old amazing tools correctly.

    Thanks again.
