Simply the Best, 1008 Broad Street, Victoria, BC V8W 1Z9, Canada. (250) 386-6661. It's right downtown, about a block from The Bay. This section of Broad Street is a short little section between Fort and Broughton Streets, and between Government Street and Douglas Street.

In the back of the store there is a section of nothing but shaving supplies, mostly British. The owner is very personable, and carries what looks like a full line of G.F. Trumper's products, plus Caswell & Massey, Edwin Jagger, and Kent (although he was out of Kent the day I was there). He had Taylor of Old Bond Street creams in tubes. I saw razors from Edwin Jagger and Merkur, and a pretty extensive line of Edwin Jagger brushes.

Jimmy's Barber Shop, 728 Fort Street, Victoria, (250- 384-2629, is only about a block and a half away from Simply the Best. I got a great haircut complete with neck shave from George (farthest chair from the front door). Jimmy's chair is closest to the door. There were 3 younger barbers between them. Highly recommended.
