Thread: Shaving music?

    Default Shaving music?

I noticed that my entire shaving experience is much better with the proper background music. Usually I have some good mellow New Age stuff playing during my shave. The other day, I messed up and had some Heavy Metal playing. It was an entirely different experience! With the HM, I seemed to be in a hurry and things were not so smooth.

Am I just crazy, or has anyone else noticed this?

    Just ramblings from a noob...

Personally, I like a mix of classical and classic rock, examples below:

Rick Wakeman - Journey To The Center Of The Earth

    Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells

    Bloodrock - Passage

I'll bet 95% of the people here have never heard of 2 out of 3 of these.

NPR Morning Edition or The Steve Czaban Show. I tried to shave to polka once and it was not good...

This would be a good place to list everyone's shaving playlist.

Unfortunately, I shave early in the AM while the kids are still in the bed so the only music I hear is the sound of my wife's hair dryer and the sound of the blade cutting my whiskers!!

I throw the Zune on shuffle and just let it go, so I end up listening to a lot. Last night I got some classical, classic rock, alt rock, and death metal, just to name a few. There may have been some Dr. Dre in there as well!

My favorite shave music is the sound of blade on beard.

    Anything classical or perhaps Pavarotti.

I listen to heavy metal, alternative, techno, or classical while shaving. Do not notice any difference in shave quality with any of those, or without music altogether.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I don't think music effects the outcome of my shave though.

I hum a bit while I shave, does that count?

I was shaving this morning and Star 69 by "Fatboy Slim" came up on shuffle on our bathroom ipod. I laughed out loud.
