Gillette 7 O'Clocks

The green ones are better than the others!

...but, seriously, some are made in different countries and therefore marketed primarily to those markets, maybe (yellow = russia, black and green = india). I have heard there are 2 different green ones. The ones I like are the indian-made "permasharp". I believe the other green ones are called something else and are made somewhere else (sorry I don't have any more details - perhaps someone else will chime in.)

The other greens are made in Russia called 'super stainless' I really like them works wonders with me

. . . what's the difference between the three 7 o'clock blades?

FOUR Gillette 7 O'Clock blades:

- Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge, yellow packaging, made in Russia

- Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless, green packaging, made in Russia

- Gillette 7 O'Clock Permasharp Stainless, green packaging, made in India

- Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum, black packaging made in India

The ones from India seem to be more difficult to get than the ones from Russia.

I have not tried the ones from India. The yellow Russians are sharper and smoother than the green Russians, at least to me.

Photos here, except the yellow Russian ones

There actually may be two more:

I've seen a blue 7 O'clock Super Platinum, made in Czech Republic, found locally by another member. Seems to be a current production. Or maybe just a recent production.

I saw on another thread about a 7 O'Clock Diamond, but it might be old stock.

The Permasharp Stainless (Greens) from India are hard to find but unquestionably the smoothest blades I've ever used. Love 'em.

I didn't like the Yellows personally. Sharp but not smooth.
