    Default Cream comparison please

    Gentlemen:
Due to my extremely sensitive skin im stuck, unfortunately, with using unscented creams. Can anyone compare for me The Art of Shaving unscented vs. Saint Charles Shave unscented bulk shave cream. Im pretty happy with the AOS but the SCS is about half the price.
Thanks in advance for your help.
By the way this is my first substantive post. Have been wetshaving for years but have not had the benefit until recently of the dearth of experience of the members on this forum.
My setup if its important for the comparison: Badger Brush and Merkur HD with feathers, i change the blade every 3 or 4 shaves.

    Welcome to Badger & Blade.

SCS has great cream and great service. I would get that because of the good value.

PM your address if you'd like. I will send you a sample of the unscented cream to try.

Welcome to B&B! Could you describe some of your reactions to scented cream? I also have problems with most soaps and some creams. My face burns (like razor burn) soon after applying the cream/soap to my face...before I even begin shaving Just wondering if you have a similar problem. I have problems with:

MWF, English Fern SS, Provence Sante SS, Lothantique SS, C&E SS, and Musgo Real...just to name a few

My reactions is not increased razor burn from the scented creams. I get irritation on my cheeks and usually it only happens with scented creams. My theory is that the essential oils or what not that makes the scent is irritating me as it is much less pronounced than with unscented creams. So far the best cream for me has been AOS unscented.

Welcome.... I have only tried the AOS and it seems to help those who have problems with scents...

Thanks for all the info guys. By the way I received a sample from Sue at Saint Charles Shave of their unscented bulk shave cream. Fantastic shave. Its definitely the way to go for an unscented cream.
