Cleaning

How do you clean a new (i.e. non-antique) razor? I've been using my DE for a little over a month now and have just been rinsing with hot water after every shave and rinsing more thoroughly when I change blades. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Thanks

Hit it with some scrubbing bubbles every now and then to knock the soap scum off. That and a good rinse after each use should take care of it.

I usually hit with Scrubbing Bubbles and a quick pass with a cheap tooth brush whenever i change out the blade. That keeps it nice and shiny!

+1 on all of the above -- scrubbing bubbles and toothbrush (I only do this about once a month - I just live with the soap scum the rest of the time).

Another vote for scrubbing bubbles. I spray my razor every time I change the blade because my water is terrible and leaves loads of soap scum behind.

Dishsoap + toothbrush here. I do it when necessary only.

What razor is it? With my 3 piece Merkur open comb, I just buff it off with a face towel that is on it's way to the wash. Comes out just as shiny as if I polished it.
