    Default Heaviest Gillette

I believe I've seen a weight chart on the wiki before, but I can't find it now.

What is the heaviest Gillette razor? I want one with more weight than the Fatboy.

    Thanks

I think the Toggle was their heaviest razor; just slightly heavier than the fatboy.

I can't find it either, but I've seen something here before with razor weights posted. I think John's probably right.....either the Toggle or the bottom-adjust 195 is probably the heaviest.

Somewhere I read that the fatboy and the new improved weigh 2.8 ounces.

The question was about a real Gillette, not an after market handle, right?

OK, so the wiki shows the Toggle by a nose over the 195 ....3.1 oz to 3.0.
No weight shown for the Big Boy. I have one exactly like the one pictured in the wiki, but I don't have a scale to weigh it on.

I'll fill a NEW handle with solder for you. That might do it!

I just weighed a few of my razors and find the New Big Fellow De Luxe is the heaviest at 3.2oz.

The New Improved Big Fellow is 3.0 oz and the Fatboy is 2.8 oz. I don't have a Toggle but I believe it's 3.0 oz.

Of course Scott's display is probably around 5 or 10 pounds.

That's okay. The mastiff thing is a handle made by a vendor here on the site. He takes Gillette heads and puts them on his handle. I have heard the handle is nice. He usually uses the best genuine Gillette head ever made, the NEW. But, it is no longer a Gillette, but a Frankenrazor, which is commonly used as a description of a razor with mismatched parts.

The most common "Frankenrazor" being an Old/New head on a Tech's handle, since the handle for the Old/New had a tendency to crack over time due to a design flaw.

    A fusion with batteries ?

(I've never held one, but I bet that even with battery they are lighter than most of DE)

Cut strips of solder and put them down the hole.
