Gillette ID needed

I picked these up this evening and am looking for an ID. I think that I know but am looking for conformation. The first is a Rocket, the case is I think a mismatch. Any idea of what it matches? The second is I think a Bulldog, there is a serial number inside the head, 6097078. What say ye?

The second is a New Improved, probably silver plated with a worn handle with the brass showing through. This is the same razor sold as a New Standard, Bostonian, or Richwood depending on the case.

First razor is a British Rocket in a case that belongs to a Red Tip Super speed.

As ctakim said, it's a New Improved razor. Your serial number is likely 609707B which would be 1926. Can't wait to see it cleaned up, New Improved Gillettes are outstanding lookers and performers. My all-time favorite DE shaver.

Thanks for the ID's! I was sure that the case was incorrect, but had no idea what it was for. On the New Improved, ctakim is correct, it is silver plated at least what is left is.

And Paul, that last digit on the serial number is hard to make out. After pulling off the glasses and taking another look, I believe you are correct as well and it is a B.

I think it will polish up nicely. After a cleaning with SB, the plating on the doors on the Rocket is in rough shape. I was hoping that it was just dirt and soap scum. Definitely not a collector, but damn is that a smooth operating razor!

(After some searching I see that the Bulldog has a spiral knurling pattern)
