I just shaved with Gillette Foamy and a Slant

It was surprisngly decent

As far as 'canned goo' goes, this stuff beats Nivea Gel.

And like that, I had only ever heard of Gillette Foamy Lemon & Lime through these boards. Its my new '5 minute shave' lathering agent, I think.

Fellas' in the UK can buy it from Morrisons for £1, I hope you enjoy this rather sacreligious convenience.

Oh, and to my philistine snout, it actually smelt like Lime

I have used the Lemon/Lime on and off my whole life. I love the way it smells and I think it does a pretty good job. My shave is as good as any other soap/cream combination that I use.

I do prefer a brush/soap/cream combo just for the sheer enjoyment, but Foamy is a good product--I can't trash it because I get good results from it.
I keep a can on hand as well as a can of Foamy Barbershop Clean. That Barbershop Clean is one fantastic smelling product. I wish they made an A/S with the same scent...

Foamy is a good standby!!

Funny, while I still go back to the cartridge quite regularly, I would never consider going back to the can.

When I did use the canned stuff, I always thought Edge was the best. In fact, a can of Edge and a Trac II is how I shaved for 30 years.

Funny, I was searching for this last night! The conclusion I came to was to buy Rive Gauche aftershave. There has to be a better way. Rive Gauche aftershave is $30 and that's a lot to pay just to get that Barbasol groove on.

I can get good shaves with canned foam as long as I remember to work out all the propellant before bringing the blade to my face.

I just tried the Barbershop Clean for the first time this morning. Very nice scent!

Gillette Lemon Lime Foamy smells so good I want to eat it!

The next time any of you hit the Dollar Tree or any of the other places that sell the Jean Phillipe Paris knock off colognes, try their version of Polo. (It's the one in the green bottle with a Tom Cruise-looking guy on the label). It doesn't smell like Polo in the least, but it does smell like Barbershop Clean Foamy. To my nose, at least.
