Default Touch Ups Later In The Day

even with a decent shave in the morning, i sometimes notice stubble particularly on my chin and neck later in the day

what's the conventional wisdom about a quick touch up before supper?

    am i asking for trouble?

On occasion I have a function in the late afternoon that requires me to look my absolute best. I have a Gillette Knack, a shave stick, and a tweezerman brush at the office I use for touch ups. Hasn't caused me any problems.

I wash the area with a wash cloth. For me its usually my jaw line. Using hot water in my cloth, I apply it to the area I'm going to shave for a minute or so to soften the hairs, then apply a little soap with the shave stick, a quick go over with the brush, and shave away. Wash me face when I'm done, put my tie back on and I'm good to go.

My uncle was a barber, many years ago, and he always shaved twice a day. First thing in the morning when he arose and again around 3:00, in the afternoon, at his shop. I think the key is the thing we all know, a little prep goes a long way, even it its just a touch up.
