    Question Question on scales.

I have two antique straights I am in the process of restoring and thus far I have cleaned and oiled the blades but I want to remove the scales on them to clean under them. One of them is a Union cutlery spike which I want to put the original scales back on, the other is a Geo S Saunders Faultless which I plan on making my own scales(thinking out of cedar). What would be the best of removing and replacing them?

Anyway under the assumtion that direct links are not allowed in the open forum still I will link you the instructions in a PM...
