Arrow How do you use your soap bar?

Do you use a soap bar/cube?

Post your soap bar lathering techniques here. Do you rub the soap all over your body directly on your skin, or create a lather in your hands and then rub on your skin?

I hope you are not looking for pictures

I don't use soap much anymore they tend to dry my skin (haven't tried Mama Bear yet and I hear its great) but when I do use them I go direct to body or use just a plain old wash cloth. My vote went to body wash.

I like the feel of soap.. I hold it in my hands and rub it on my body. I find face cloths to be too rough on my skin.

Shower gel is meant to be used with a cloth or a scrubby tho. It is like shaving cream where it needs to be agitated to get a good lather.

I am a real soap addict tho.. the creamier the bar the better!

Angry... lol... Nope, that was definately someone else....
I still have all the soaps tho.. I keep adding and I can't seem to get rid of any of them... I am ready for a 12 step program...

Edit..... Oh! Do you mean the Mr. X's angry skin formula?? Did you use the bar or the liquid? That was formulated by a friend of mine who's husband has eczema and psorriassis... it really helped him too, I had forgotten about that soap...

I only had a small supply of that... there did not seem to be a lot of interest in it. She uses marshmallow root in all of her soaps tho and it is really good stuff! I can get more if you want!

Absolutely nothing... that was a very special bar of soap.. with a highly lamentable name.... Her soaps are all castille tho (100% olive oil) so you would like them.. I have 6 of her bars left... Rose and Glycerin, Honeyed Amber, Lavender Chamomile, Strawberry Smoothie, Garden soap and Just Soap (no fragrance)

But Joe, if you want more of the Mr. X, I can get it for you, send me a PM honey...

I actually use one of those puffy/poofy rubber mesh sponge thingies. Builds really thick creamy lather. Current soap is Mullers Lane Farm coconut (from MB's site) - great soap!

It depends. I usually just rub the puck between my hands.

My girlfriends leaves the soap permanently in the soap dish. She reaches over with one hand, and rubs a couple fingers on it to pick up a little soap to use. Soap last FOREVER with her. Kinda troublesome. I bought her a whole assortment of Honeybee soaps in September, and she is still on the first....

Currently, I use Nancy Boy bar soap (Signature Scent) with a Mesh Sponge.

I got into the habit of using one of those sponges back when I used body wash, so there would be some nice lather. I've just stuck with it now that I use the bar soap. Normally, I just lather up the sponge and get to work.

I had to put that I dont shower...just because nobody else did yet.

When I do shower, I use Dr. Bronner's liquid soap with a wash cloth.

yeah, I put that option there for peacefrog, as he's usually the "lone dissenter" for the helluv-it.

But I'm glad you admit to not bathing.

Ed, what's your take on the Dr. Bronner's? I was in a Natural foods store a while back and was going to get some, but I got sticker shock and ran out of the store screaming with a few bars of that chinese bumblebee soap clutched in my hand . I've heard good things about it and will probably order some online somewhere for a fraction of the cost.
