I'm not sure if this is the straight or pistol... (Pics attached). It does have the larger sized fore-stock though.

Yes it has been hunted with, but not by me. I prefer the flavor of beef, and don't feel the need to hunt for it when it's currently readily available. My dad went out with his dad with this rifle, but I don't think he ever hit anything other than cans, apples, targets. (He was near the top of his platoon in Marine bootcamp for marksmanship, though.)

Pistol; such a wonderful rifle and round.
