Thread: travel humidors

  1. Default travel humidors

    I am looking to get one of these for my father for his birthday. He doesnt smoke cigars often but he usually will take a few (3-5) on vacation or to golf with his buddies. any recommendations? i would also like to find him a nice punch to go with it.

    Are you looking for an actual travel humidor or one of those 3-5 stick carriers? If he was only carrying a few sticks while on vacation I would suggest one of the travel packs instead of an actual travel humidor.

    I used to smoke cigars many years ago, 3-4 a day. I never found a travel humidor that would keep cigars longer than three days. The travel models I found would never seal as well a a tabletop model and were always drying out. I wound up buying one of those little humidification tubes and put in the box the cigars came in. It was cheaper and worked just as well.

    Double and triple cigars tubes are fine for 2-3 days.

    Also, the only time I ever bought a cello wrapped cigar was when I traveled. They will keep longer than an unwrapped cigar.
