Default Question: Quality of the shaving cream?

    Hey guys,

I have sensitive skin and have been using a TOBS Avocado shaving cream based off the awesome reviews here on B&B. I've also used the T&H West Indian Lime, and for my last 3 shaves I've been trying samples of Trumpers which I received a while back.

Since using the samples I've gotten the best BBS shaves of my short DE career which have been cut and nick free. Looking back on it, with T&H I have had cut and nick free shaves, however I always cut and nick myself using the TOBS? Come to think of it, I've never had a cut or nick free shave using it.

So my question is, can the quality of the cream help prevent cuts and nicks?

I look forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback

Yes. Cushion and slickness will protect against razor burn and the slickness will prevent cuts providing good glide.

While the above is true, TOBS is a top quality product that has plenty of slickness, and cushion.

I wonder if the difference lies in the quality of lather you are producing with the Trumpers. Maybe Trumpers is easier to lather, or perhaps you have been making the TOBS creams too dry.

Dry lather will certainly lead to a lack of cushion, and slickness.

Also is there any other factor you may have changed without thinking about it?

No, not that I can think of. My razor, blade and brush combo remains the same?

Then ya it probably is the level of hydration of your lather.
